Hi guys,
I'm about to try and partially unravel my Season 18 Doctor Who scarf so I can fix it. You all know how well I've done with this scarf.
Wish me luck.

EDIT:
Ladies and gentlemen, the operation was a success! The scarf should make a full recovery.

Hi again guys,
I'm back from Melbourne as of last night, and boy was it good to sleep in my own bed again and use a shower with decent water pressure and temperature regulation. I was almost happy even for the mugginess, though I'm sure that won't last. Melbourne weather is on crack, but I kinda love it for that. It keeps you on your toes.
I bought a new little journal yesterday to make a new costume bible with - nice thing about the Typo stuff is that they generally have pockets at the back. Awfully handy, that.
I've got to go through my sewing room again before I get any new projects started and clean it the heck up. It sorta looks like ground zero at the moment... o_o
I've got a couple of costumes I want to start on, and I want to get back into doing some art. I've got a bunch of canvasses that shall be allocated to various ideas I have had. I'd like to get working on some props so I've got the time to get them finished.
Can anyone recommend good places to get Cotton Lycra? I found one site online that looks alright, but they only have yellow, purple and white (though white would be dyable, and is an option).
And of course, I have to get fit/lose weight... Want to look more fabulous for next year's plans...

Hi guys,
Long time, no post - I know.
Anywho, as many of us did, I've just spent the weekend in Melbourne to attend Armageddon. Unfortunately I didn't get my costumes finished for it, but it was a fairly good weekend in spite of this overall.
Got to hang out with Team Adelaide (whom I hopefully will be able to catch up with for Armageddon Adelaide), which was pretty awesome. I got my photo taken with Paul McGann (squee!), Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred, which was pretty freakin' cool as well.
I kinda feel inspired to get cracking on some costumes again after this, so that's nice. Always feel a bit burnt out after Supanova, but that's probably cause I stay up late too many nights before hand and get very cranky in the process.
After seeing a lot of Doctor Who scarves over the weekend, I kinda feel it's about time to try and fix up my Season 18 scarf again (see last post). As far as I can tell from the scarves at cons I've been to, I may not be *the* best, but I'm pretty sure the scarves I've done are *some* of the best that are going around cons in Aus. A lot of people don't have the right colours, or the right stitching - I did see two excellent Season 18 scarves on the weekend. One was almost perfect colours and I think might have even been chenille wool as it should be, but it was missing the crocheting along the sides - the other one was great, but the colours were off. It wasn't the right wool either, but neither is mine - the right stuff is *hard to find.*
Anywho, I'll wrap this up for now before my interet expires here at the hotel.
Cheerio!

I buggered up my v3.0 Season 18 Doctor Who Scarf. Again! Why do I keep managing to do this?
Hopefully I'll be able to fix it, I'm just so mad at myself for messing it up again.
Goddamnit.

Hi folks,
I'm giving serious thought do taking commissions to knit Doctor Who scarves. I still have to work out if it is viable, but let me know if there's any interest out there.

Hi folks,
Brisnova is over for another year. I went into it feeling apprehensive - I haven't really been gearing up for it, so I wasn't mentally prepared for it - even though I've been working on Paul's costumes for a little bit. I'm just sorta tired from everything which hasn't made it easy to muster enthusiasm for it.

Hi Folks,
Not my best day today. Anywho -
Buttercup dress has finally been hemmed, and I've unpicked the darts in the bodice because it was very tight across the chest. Much better now.
Paul's Pennywise clownsuit remake is coming along - currently working on the vest. After I sew this last bit, I've just got some handsewing left (fasteners, trimmings, etc).
Gotta make accessories for Buttercup though - not entirely sure how I'll do the headpiece, and I'm lost on the belt at the moment because I ran out of time looking for supplies this eve. Will hopefully sort something out.
My 1/4 scale Doctor Who scarf is coming along nicely ... I don't remember if I mentioned starting it, but I decided to make a smaller scarf, because the large ones aren't really practical for day to day use. Wearing my Season 18 scarf actually gave me neck pain once, because they're so heavy..... This one should do nicely come Winter though :)
Augh, Supanova is far too close for comfort. I'm really not mentally prepared for this, this year. Or financially. Blargh.

This weekend, I'm remaking Paul's Pennywise costume for Brisnova. Will see how it goes. Should be fine.
Then I have to figure out what I'm going to do for myself. I obviously don't have time to make something new - but I think I've got time to finish my Buttercup costume, and my Romana!Leisure Hive outfit probably still fits me....... Will see though.
I really want to do Romana!Shada, but I won't have time........ I don't believe, anyways. Or boots. I need red boots.

edit: I had a thought - I might be able to get the correct fabric pattern for the Romana!Shada skirt via www.spoonflower.com - I've had little luck finding anything appropriate in stores at least.

Well, fiddlesticks.
I guess the Sydney Armageddon event doohickey passed me by without my realising. No meeting Paul McGann for me.
I know it's because it's 4am, but I feel rather cranky about that.

Hey guys,
I fell off the internet again - seems I do that a lot.
Turns out I won't have enough time to get some serious costuming done pre-Brisnova, so I'm going to fix up one of Paul's costumes, and maybe work on some UFOs I've got lying around.
If I can find some appropriate boots, and the right skirt fabric, I might even consider making another Romana costume.
We'll see how it goes. So broke right now anyways.
